Radiation boost tested to keep aggressive thyroid cancer at bay
NCT ID NCT06558981
Summary
This study is testing whether adding radiation therapy to the standard treatment helps prevent high-risk thyroid cancer from coming back in the neck area. Patients who have had surgery but still have some cancer cells left will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard radioactive iodine treatment alone or radioactive iodine plus radiation therapy. The main goal is to see which approach keeps patients cancer-free in the neck region for longer.
