Shorter radiation course tested for aggressive skin cancer
NCT ID NCT07337161
Summary
This study is testing if a shorter, more focused radiation treatment (5 sessions) works as well as the standard longer course (20-30 sessions) for people with a serious type of skin cancer in the head and neck area that has spread to lymph nodes. The goal is to see if the shorter treatment controls the cancer just as effectively while possibly reducing side effects and improving quality of life. Researchers will compare outcomes for 90 participants who have already had surgery to remove the cancer.
