Precision radiation battle against rare abdominal tumors
NCT ID NCT04219202
Summary
This study is testing two types of advanced radiation therapy (protons or carbon ions) given before surgery for abdominal soft tissue sarcoma. The main goal is to see if these treatments are safe and cause fewer severe side effects to nearby organs compared to standard radiation. Researchers will also track whether the radiation helps control the cancer and improve patients' quality of life.
