Zapping heart trouble without surgery: new radiation therapy could beat standard procedure

Summary
This study tests a new, noninvasive radiation treatment (cardiac radioablation) against the standard repeat catheter ablation for people with a dangerous heart rhythm called ventricular tachycardia that hasn't been controlled by prior procedures. About 380 participants with high-risk VT will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The goal is to see which approach better prevents death, shocks from an implanted defibrillator, and severe episodes of rapid heart rate, while also monitoring side effects.
