Summary
This study looks at whether a fast test that identifies the virus causing a respiratory infection can help doctors avoid prescribing antibiotics when they won't work. About 200 adults visiting the emergency department with symptoms like cough, fever, or sore throat will get this rapid test. The goal is to cut down on unnecessary antibiotics, which can lead to antibiotic resistance and longer ER stays.
