Heart valve surgery study tests safer artery access to reduce complications

NCT ID NCT07399392

Summary

This study compares two different artery access points used during a minimally invasive heart valve replacement procedure called TAVI. Researchers want to see if using the wrist artery instead of the groin artery for the secondary access tube reduces bleeding and blood vessel complications. The trial will enroll 434 patients undergoing TAVI to determine which approach is safer.
