Scientists test rabies shot to gauge immune health in cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT04410900

Summary

This study aims to understand how well the immune system works in people who have received a specific cancer treatment called CAR-T cell therapy for B-cell cancers. Researchers gave participants a standard rabies vaccine and measured their immune response through blood tests, comparing them to healthy volunteers. The goal is to learn if these cancer survivors can build normal vaccine protection, which will help doctors create better plans to prevent infections in the future.
