Rabies vaccine booster still effective years later? new study seeks answers

NCT ID NCT07455318

First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a single booster shot for rabies works well in people who got their first rabies vaccine at least five years ago. About 561 healthy adults will receive one booster shot, and researchers will check their immune response after 7 days. The goal is to see if different initial vaccine schedules still allow a strong response to a booster when needed.
