New hope for MDS patients Who've run out of options
NCT ID NCT05308264
Summary
This early-stage trial is testing an experimental pill called R289 for people with lower-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), a bone marrow disorder that causes anemia and frequent blood transfusions. The study focuses on patients whose disease hasn't responded to or has stopped responding to standard treatments like EPO injections or other medications. Researchers want to see if R289 is safe and can help patients become less dependent on blood transfusions.
