Painless eye mask could heal damaged nerves and stop chronic eye pain
NCT ID NCT07174739
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a non-invasive device called Quantum Molecular Resonance (QMR) can reduce eye pain and help regrow corneal nerves in people with neuropathic corneal pain. Thirty adults diagnosed with this condition will receive eight QMR treatment sessions. Researchers will measure pain levels, nerve health, and quality of life before and after treatment to see if the device works.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Quantum Molecular Resonance (QMR) treatment delivered via the Rexon-Eye® device
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a non-invasive, painless way to relieve chronic eye pain and possibly restore damaged corneal nerves.
What could go wrong
This is a very small early study (30 people) with no control group, so results may not be generalizable. Pain relief and nerve regeneration are not guaranteed.
