Summary
This study aims to understand the quality of life of children and young adults living with intestinal failure, a rare condition where the gut cannot absorb enough nutrients. Researchers will follow 750 participants from multiple hospitals in the US and Canada for up to five years, using surveys to measure physical, emotional, and social well-being. The goal is to identify the medical and social factors that most impact patients' lives, which could help doctors and families provide better support.
