Scientists probe muscle 'Freeze' after fake knee injury
NCT ID NCT06999057
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how a pretend knee injury changes the way thigh muscles work. Healthy young adults will have their knee briefly numbed or filled with fluid to mimic injury, then muscle signals and strength are tested in one 2-hour session. The goal is to better understand muscle inhibition after real knee trauma and help design better treatments.
