New cancer drug targets notorious KRAS mutation in first human tests

Summary
This is the first human study of an experimental drug called QTX3034 for people with advanced solid tumors that have a specific genetic change called KRASG12D. The trial aims to find the safest dose and see how well the drug works, either alone or combined with an existing cancer drug called cetuximab. It will enroll about 250 adults whose cancer has progressed despite prior treatments.
