Herbal remedy tested for rapid gout pain relief

NCT ID NCT06068478

Summary

This study tested whether a traditional Chinese herbal medicine called Qingzhu Granules can safely reduce pain during sudden, painful gout attacks. It involved 472 adults experiencing a gout flare-up who took either the granules or a placebo (a look-alike with no medicine). Researchers measured how much pain decreased over 72 hours and tracked any side effects.
