Zapping polyps: new electrical treatment aims to prevent bowel cancer

NCT ID NCT06317727

Summary

This study is testing a new, less invasive method called pulsed field ablation (PFA) to remove precancerous growths in the colon, known as polyps. The goal is to see if using small electrical pulses during a colonoscopy is a safe and effective way to destroy these polyps, which could help prevent bowel cancer. Researchers will enroll about 30 patients to monitor for side effects and check if the polyps are fully removed or grow back.
