Summary
This was the first study in people to test a new medical device called CadioPulseTM. The device uses pulsed field energy to treat paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat) by isolating the pulmonary veins in the heart. The main goal was to get an initial look at how safe and effective the device and procedure are for 10 patients.
