Summary

This study tested a new medical device system that uses pulsed electrical fields to treat paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AFib), a type of irregular heartbeat. The research aimed to see if this approach was safe and effective at reducing AFib episodes. It involved 150 adults with symptomatic, recurrent AFib who were scheduled for a catheter ablation procedure.
