New Heart-Zap technique tested for Tough-to-Treat rhythm problems

NCT ID NCT07313228

Summary

This study is testing a new procedure called pulsed field ablation for people with a common heart rhythm problem (atrial fibrillation) who have already had a small heart pouch closed to prevent strokes. The goal is to see if this new technique is safe and effective at stopping the irregular heartbeats from coming back. About 70 participants will have the procedure and be followed for one year to check for complications and see if their heart rhythm stays normal.
