Medical device showdown: do all pulse oximeters measure blood flow the same way?
NCT ID NCT06635018
Summary
This study tested whether different brands of pulse oximeters give the same readings when measuring blood flow in fingers. Researchers compared devices from multiple manufacturers on 42 healthy volunteers at rest, during movement, and with restricted circulation. The goal was to understand if doctors can reliably compare blood flow measurements taken with different equipment.
