Scientists try to bring dead teeth back to life with Patient's own tissue

NCT ID NCT07258888

Summary

This study tested a new biological approach for treating dead teeth with an infection at the root tip. Researchers compared transplanting a small piece of healthy pulp tissue from the patient's own wisdom tooth into the dead tooth, with or without a growth factor gel, against the standard root canal procedure. The goal was to see if this transplant could restore feeling and vitality to the tooth.
