First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether using augmented reality (AR) can help people with Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (a rare lung condition) stick to a home breathing and walking program. Fifty adults did breathing exercises twice a day and walked at least 5,000 steps daily for six weeks, using AR support. Researchers measured satisfaction, adherence, and ease of use to see if AR makes pulmonary rehabilitation more effective.
