Inhaled hope for cancer patients fighting dangerous viruses

NCT ID NCT06665100

Summary

This study is testing an experimental inhaled drug, PUL-042, to see if it can reduce the severity of lung infections caused by common respiratory viruses in a very vulnerable group. The participants are adults with blood cancers or who have received a stem cell transplant, and who have recently tested positive for one of three specific viruses. Over about a month, researchers will compare the drug to a placebo to see if it helps prevent serious lung complications, reduces hospital time, and improves symptoms.
