Summary

This study tests a new medicine called ALT-100 in people with moderate to severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), a serious lung condition that makes breathing very hard. The trial involves 15 adults who receive a single dose of the drug or a placebo to see if it is safe and helps reduce the need for a breathing machine. The goal is to improve recovery and shorten hospital stays.
