Summary
This study in Cameroon trained healthcare workers at one hospital to screen and manage post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in people injured in road accidents. Researchers measured whether the training improved workers' knowledge and comfort, and whether more patients were screened and treated. They also tested if providing talk therapy (psychotherapy) to accident victims with PTSD could help reduce their symptoms over six months.
