First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested two techniques for numbing a nerve cluster behind the nose during pituitary gland surgery. 60 adults having this surgery were randomly assigned to receive either an ultrasound-guided injection through the cheek or a spray through the nose. The goal was to see which method reduced the amount of anesthesia and pain medicine needed during the operation. Results will help doctors choose the best approach for smoother surgery and faster recovery.
