Stitch-Free eye surgery tested for faster healing

NCT ID NCT07307820

Summary

This study compared two ways of attaching a tissue graft after removing a pterygium, a non-cancerous growth on the eye. In 30 patients with the condition in both eyes, one eye had the graft stitched in place, while the other had it attached without stitches. Researchers tracked which method led to faster healing, less discomfort, and a better appearance over one month.
