Eye surgeons test two ways to stop pesky eye growth from returning

NCT ID NCT07277426

Summary

This study compares two surgical techniques used after removing a pterygium, a non-cancerous growth on the eye's surface. The goal is to see which method—using a flap of nearby tissue or a free tissue graft—is better at preventing the growth from coming back within six months. About 342 adult patients will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two procedures.
