Summary
This study looks at a new tool called PT-PENCIL that helps doctors decide how much physical therapy each hospital patient needs to recover enough to go home. The tool uses a computer model to predict which patients are likely to be discharged home based on how often they receive therapy. Over 9,700 adults in the hospital are taking part, and the study measures how well the tool works and whether therapists find it useful.
