Phone Check-Ins aim to stop trauma from turning into PTSD

NCT ID NCT06366191

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether adding a phone-based monitoring system to standard care can help prevent post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in people who have recently experienced a traumatic event. The study will enroll 40 adults who went through a trauma within the last week. Researchers will compare outcomes between those who receive standard care alone and those who also get regular phone check-ins to monitor their mental health.
