New drug aims to stop psychosis before it starts

NCT ID NCT07226895

Summary

This study is testing a new drug called MT1988 to see if it can help prevent psychosis in young people (ages 17-30) who are at high risk. Participants will take the drug or a placebo twice daily for 8 weeks while researchers track changes in their memory, symptoms, and brain activity. The main goal is to find reliable tests that can measure if a treatment is working to control the early signs of psychosis.
