New hope for teens with severe skin condition

Summary
This study is testing whether an oral medication called deucravacitinib can safely and effectively treat moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in teenagers aged 12-17. Researchers will compare the drug against a placebo pill in 366 adolescent participants to see if it significantly clears skin and reduces symptoms. The goal is to control this chronic skin disease, not cure it, as treatment would need to continue to maintain results.
