Summary
This phase 2 trial tests an oral tablet called HSK47388 in 220 adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. Participants take the drug or a placebo once daily for 16 weeks. The main goal is to see if the drug can reduce psoriasis severity by at least 75% compared to placebo.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
HSK47388 (oral tablet)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a new daily pill to control moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis, reducing skin plaques and improving quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is an early phase 2 trial with only 220 people, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug may not work better than placebo, and side effects are still being studied.
