Can your music taste cure depression? new psychedelic trial asks
NCT ID NCT07373535
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether tailoring psilocybin-assisted therapy to a person's preferences makes it more effective for severe, treatment-resistant depression. Sixteen adults will receive two psilocybin sessions, each paired with either music-centered or mindfulness-centered therapy, in an order based on their personal choice. The main goal is to see if this personalized approach is practical and if getting your preferred therapy style leads to better mood and fewer side effects.
