NCT ID NCT05416229

Summary

This study tested whether a single high dose of psilocybin, the active compound in 'magic mushrooms,' given alongside psychological therapy, could help people with alcohol use disorder drink less. The main goal was to see if the treatment reduced the number of heavy drinking days over 12 weeks.
