Summary
This study is testing whether using two brain monitors together during heart surgery can help prevent short- and long-term memory and thinking problems (called postoperative cognitive disorders). The monitors track brain oxygen levels and brain wave activity, allowing doctors to make real-time adjustments. The study will include 80 adults having certain types of heart surgery, with a special focus on those aged 65 and older.
