Natural healing injection challenges steroids for back pain relief
NCT ID NCT07036445
Summary
This study compares two types of injections for long-term relief of sciatica-like pain caused by a herniated disc in the lower back. Researchers are testing whether an injection using a patient's own concentrated platelets (PRP) works as well as or better than a standard steroid injection over two years. The goal is to see if PRP provides similar pain relief with potentially fewer risks.
