First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from a patient's own blood can reduce pain and improve healing better than a standard root canal in mature teeth with infection. 41 people with irreversible pulpitis and a periapical lesion took part. Pain was measured at 24 and 48 hours, and healing was checked at 1 and 6 months using X-rays.
