NCT ID NCT07491302

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether a single injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can reduce pain and improve hand function in adults with thumb base osteoarthritis. 88 participants will receive either PRP or a placebo (saline) injection, then be followed for one year. The goal is to see if PRP offers a safe, effective treatment option for those who haven't improved with standard care like hand therapy.
