Platelet-Rich plasma may boost voice recovery after vocal cord lesion removal

NCT ID NCT07300800

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether injecting platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into the vocal cords during surgery helps people recover their voice better than surgery alone. Researchers will compare 32 adults who get PRP with 32 who do not, measuring voice quality and fatigue at 1 and 3 months after the procedure. The goal is to see if PRP can reduce hoarseness and make speaking easier after removing benign growths like polyps or nodules.
