Could your own blood heal a stubborn eye ulcer?

Summary
This study tests a treatment for people with a persistent corneal epithelial defect (PED) — a sore on the eye that won't heal with standard drops. The treatment uses a substance made from the patient's own blood, called platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which may help replace missing healing factors in the tears. About 54 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either PRP with a contact lens, standard lubricant with a contact lens, or an eye patch with ointment. The goal is to see which approach heals the ulcer fastest.
