Knee pain breakthrough? PRP injections target joint and surrounding tissues

NCT ID NCT07339137

First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at whether injecting a patient's own concentrated platelets (PRP) into both the knee joint and the tissues around it can reduce pain and improve function better than standard treatments alone. Researchers will compare three groups: conservative care (exercise and lifestyle changes), conservative care plus PRP into the joint, and conservative care plus PRP into both the joint and surrounding areas. The goal is to find a more complete way to manage chronic knee osteoarthritis.
