Own blood used to fight stubborn wounds

NCT ID NCT07255391

Summary

This study is testing a treatment called platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to help heal severe, long-lasting ulcers. Doctors take a small amount of a patient's own blood, concentrate the healing factors from the platelets, and apply it directly to the wound. The goal is to see if this method can speed up healing for ulcers that haven't responded well to standard care.
