First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study compares two surgical approaches—removing part of the stomach (proximal gastrectomy) versus the whole stomach (total gastrectomy)—in people with locally advanced upper gastric cancer who have already received chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy. About 404 participants will be randomly assigned to one surgery type. The main goal is to see which operation leads to longer cancer-free survival after three years.
