First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study compares two types of voice prostheses (the Provox ActiValve and standard ones) in 48 adults who have had their voice box removed due to cancer. The goal is to see if using the ActiValve routinely reduces how often the device needs to be replaced each year. Participants must be at least 6 months past cancer treatment and have no current signs of disease.
