Summary
This early-phase study tests whether tacrolimus ointment (Protopic) can prevent deep partial-thickness burns from turning into deeper wounds. The idea is that calming the immune response might help the burn heal faster and with fewer complications. The study involves 18 adults aged 50 to 75 with burns on their hands.
