First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study compares two types of radiation therapy—proton therapy and standard photon therapy—for people with advanced nasopharyngeal cancer. All participants receive chemotherapy and immunotherapy alongside radiation. The goal is to see if proton therapy causes fewer severe side effects and improves long-term cancer control. About 300 adults aged 18–70 with newly diagnosed, high-risk disease will take part.
