Precision proton beams target Kids' cancer, aim to spare healthy growth
NCT ID NCT04968990
Summary
This study is testing a more targeted form of radiation called proton beam therapy for children with a kidney cancer called Wilms tumor. The main goal is to see if using protons on a smaller area can control the cancer just as well as standard radiation while allowing the child's side and abdomen to grow more normally. It will enroll about 260 children who need radiation as part of their treatment.
