NCT ID NCT04475666
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving critically ill patients extra protein through their feeding tube can reduce the chance of death within 90 days. About 2502 adults who are on breathing machines will be split into two groups: one gets standard protein, the other gets a high-protein formula. The goal is to see if more protein helps patients recover and leave the hospital sooner.
