First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at how plant-based and whey (dairy) protein affect muscle building in older adults, especially those with muscle loss (sarcopenia). Researchers will measure how the body processes amino acids from each protein type. The goal is to find the best protein mix to prevent or treat sarcopenia. About 100 people aged 50-95 will participate.
