Scientists track how food fuels recovery in ICU survivors
NCT ID NCT07268274
Summary
This study aims to understand how the body uses energy and protein in adults who are critically ill for a long time. Researchers will observe 100 patients in intensive care to see if the amount of protein they eat affects their recovery, including how long they need a breathing machine and their survival. The goal is to gather information to help create better nutrition guidelines for these patients in the future.
